Charity Portfolio Management

We manage portfolios for a number of charities and not for profit organisations and recognise the importance of meeting the investment aims of the trustees, whether these are to generate income, capital growth or a balance between the two. Ethical considerations often form part of the investment policy and we take the time to establish these and other considerations with your charity before constructing an appropriate portfolio.

Trustees are kept up to date by way of regular reports, which include a detailed market commentary and portfolio performance review. In addition, your appointed investment manager is available to meet with the trustees and discuss any issues related to the portfolio.

As part of our service to charities, our nominee company handles all aspects of portfolio administration including settling transactions, receiving income and carrying out regular reconciliations of stock and cash. Details of all transactions and cash movements are included in our half yearly reports and summarised in a year-end tax pack, which reduces the expense and administrative burden placed on the trustees by legislation.

For more information on our investment services to charities, or to arrange an initial meeting with one of our investment managers, please email investment.management@nwbrown.co.uk or see the Become our Client page.

Our other services to charities include specialist insurance broking, covering the needs of the charity itself and the requirements of the trustees as individuals. For more information on our insurance services, please email commercial.insurance@nwbrown.co.uk or visit their 'Become our Client' page.
